PENGARUH PENGEMBANGAN KARIR DAN SELF EFFICACY TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI MELALUI MOTIVASI KERJA PEGAWAI SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KABUPATEN PASURUAN
Abstract
This research focuses on understanding the roles of career development and self-efficacy in shaping employee performance, while also evaluating the mediating contribution of work motivation among employees at the Regional Secretariat of Pasuruan Regency. All 53 employees participated through a census approach due to the small population size. Utilizing a quantitative survey design, data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The empirical evidence confirms that career development and self-efficacy exert significant positive effects on performance, both directly and indirectly through work motivation. These findings underline the importance of motivation as a psychological catalyst that enhances the influence of professional growth and personal efficacy on performance outcomes. The study concludes that strategic career planning and fostering employee confidence are essential to improving motivation and organizational effectiveness
