PENENTUAN PRIORITAS PERBAIKAN FASILITAS KAMPUS MENGGUNAKAN METODE MULTI-ATTRIBUTE UTILITY THEORY
Abstract
Campus facility quality plays an important role in supporting the learning process and improving the quality of higher education services; however, limited maintenance budgets require the determination of repair priorities in an objective and measurable manner. This study aims to determine the priority of campus facility improvements at Politeknik Bisnis Indonesia using the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method as part of a Decision Support System. The research employed a quantitative approach involving eight facility alternatives and five evaluation criteria, namely condition feasibility, repair urgency, utilization level, academic impact, and repair cost affordability. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, then analyzed through normalization and utility value calculations. The results show that alternative A4 achieved the highest utility value of 0.6561 and was selected as the top priority because it had high repair urgency and academic impact as well as relatively affordable repair costs. Alternative A1 ranked second with a utility value of 0.6481, supported by very high utilization and academic impact, while alternative A2 ranked third with a utility value of 0.5750, indicating adequate facility condition and maximum utilization intensity. These findings demonstrate that the MAUT method is able to provide objective, systematic, and transparent recommendations for determining facility repair priorities, and can serve as a strategic basis for campus management in planning effective and sustainable facility improvements.
