PERANCANGAN UI/UX APLIKASI PENGAJUAN BANTUAN PADA DINAS SOSIAL MENGGUNAKAN METODE DESIGN THINKING
Abstract
The Batang Regency Social Service is a public service agency responsible for distributing social assistance, including inpatient assistance. However, the application process is still done manually, which often causes confusion about the process, unclear requirements, and delays in information about the disbursement schedule. These issues indicate the need for a mobile-based solution supported by an intuitive and user-centered user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. This study aims to design a UI/UX prototype for a mobile application for inpatient assistance submission using the Design Thinking method. The research applies the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, involving residents as primary users to ensure the design aligns with real user needs. Usability evaluation was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction of the proposed design. The evaluation results show a SUS score of 86.5, which falls into the excellent category, indicating that the designed prototype is highly usable and user-friendly. These findings demonstrate that the Design Thinking approach is effective in producing an intuitive UI/UX design and has the potential to improve the quality of mobile-based social services, particularly in the submission of inpatient assistance at the Batang Regency Social Service.
