PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM PAKAR BERBASIS WEB UNTUK DETEKSI DINI OBESITAS MENGGUNAKAN METODE FORWARD CHAINING

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a web-based expert system for early detection of obesity using the Forward Chaining method. The increasing prevalence of obesity necessitated an automatic detection system capable of providing preliminary diagnosis based on anthropometric and lifestyle data. The system was developed using the PHP programming language, MySQL database, and a responsive web interface. The inference process applied the Forward Chaining method to perform rule-based reasoning from user-input facts toward diagnostic conclusions derived from a nutrition expert knowledge base. System testing demonstrated that all functional components operated as intended, while expert validation indicated a diagnostic accuracy rate of 92%. The findings showed that the system provided reliable and transparent preliminary consultation for early obesity detection and was suitable for self-assessment use by the general public. Furthermore, the developed system supported the digital transformation of health services through information technology.
